📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other core accounting tasks in support of the team’s financial close and reporting processes • Assist in researching, establishing, and maintaining financial accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP • Support internal controls and audit readiness, including compliance administration tasks, coordination and fulfillment of audit requests, testing, and documentation • Design and document accounting processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and improvements as Branch continues to scale • Own accounting projects and process gaps outside standard workflows, from investigation through resolution • Partner cross-functionally to design, build, and implement new systems, processes, and solutions across accounting, finance, treasury, data, and other teams • Provide financial support to senior management and department leaders to facilitate decision making • Represent the accounting function to cross-functional and external partners

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience required; high-growth payment/fintech experience a plus • 1-2 years of financial audit and/or consulting experience preferred • Working knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work across large, complex datasets; SQL, Python, and other relevant experience a plus • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new systems and tools quickly, spanning accounting, reporting, and AI-enabled tools and platforms; familiarity with Claude/Cowork a plus • Comfortable operating across a wide range of systems and processes; experience with Sage Intacct, FloQast, Looker and/or other similar accounting and reporting platforms required • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical accounting concepts and represent the team for cross-functional and external audiences • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer
