📋 Description

• Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of full-stack services using PHP and Python • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices integrating with banking cores, payment networks, and institutional partner systems • Optimize MySQL performance for high-throughput financial transaction systems • Drive engineering standards for quality, testing practices, and CI/CD workflows • Lead the team's AI tooling strategy and establish best practices for AI-assisted development • Champion security and compliance best practices for a regulated financial services platform • Apply business understanding to technical decisions spanning cardholder experience through settlement • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on system design, full-stack fundamentals, and professional growth • Design and scale services processing credit card transactions and powering real-time rewards

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional development experience • Deep expertise in application architecture and production systems at scale • Strong command of MySQL, including query optimization, schema design, and performance tuning • Extensive experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture • Experience making technical decisions under ambiguity and leading through influence • Aptitude across the full stack • Comfort with remote-first, synchronous and asynchronous collaboration • Strong written communication skills • Ability to balance long-term architectural thinking with pragmatic delivery • PHP and Python expertise • Bonus: Experience in fintech, payments, credit card infrastructure, or regulated financial services • Bonus: Familiarity with multi-tenant platform architecture or real-time transaction processing • Bonus: Experience with AI-assisted development tools or LLM APIs • Bonus: Background with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or financial compliance requirements
