📋 Description

• Provide senior-level technical expertise across mainframe infrastructure software, disciplines, environments, and best practices • Provide assistance and recommendations to management and clients on infrastructure architecture and applied systems and software services • Deliver measurable customer, financial, process, professional development, and leadership results for Broadcom • Assist account directors and solution architects in technically qualifying solutions and their benefits • Understand customer technology needs and partner offerings, then architect appropriate solutions • Build relationships across customer and partner IT silos to understand and document infrastructure, challenges, and project impacts • Execute or coordinate complex product integration demonstrations and proofs of concept • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Broadcom mainframe division products • Prepare technical specifications and requirements documentation • Present Broadcom solution benefits and technical differentiators • Provide technical leadership during trials, proofs of concept, and complex demonstrations • Foster customer and partner relationships to develop references • Analyze user and data requirements and provide solution modeling and implementation • Review solution plans and evaluate designs, upgrades, conversions, and implementation approaches • Conduct hardware/software comparative evaluations • Troubleshoot technical solutions and provide post-implementation support • Consult on infrastructure management technical areas and recommend actions to customer management and technical resources • Communicate innovations and trends in infrastructure management solutions • Script or code quick implementations to solve product conversions • Collaborate with and effectively run virtual teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 6+ years of related experience • Additional capabilities such as REXX, COBOL, or HLASM coding are required • Ability to travel to client sites is required • Understanding of mainframe infrastructure management concepts and practice • Understanding and implementation of Broadcom Software mainframe products or similar • Proficient with REXX and/or HLASM programming languages • 10+ years’ experience with Broadcom Software mainframe products or similar • 10+ years’ experience with z/OS • Familiarity with BMC, IBM, and Rocket mainframe products is a plus • Experience with z/VSE and z/VM is a plus but not required • Ability to listen to client requirements and organize them into business needs and objectives • Ability to provide written communication regarding build and integration instructions, assigned task status, and knowledge transfer instructions • Ability to follow a communication plan established by the project manager • Ability to document project statuses, task statuses, and build and integration results clearly in writing • Ability to do technical presentations and product demonstrations internally and externally • Understanding of major subsystems such as JES, CICS, MQ series, DB2, IMS, and VSAM • Understanding of enterprise security managers such as ACF2, TSS, and RACF • Ability to implement or upgrade Broadcom Software infrastructure products such as SYSVIEW, OPS/MVS, NetMaster, Mainframe Application Tuner, and Common Services
