📋 Description

• Participate in on-the-job training for the Executive Director role and develop increasing proficiency in managerial responsibilities • Prepare to assume an Executive Director role at a Brookdale community, including people management, operations management, and clinical management • Responsible for all community operations and serve as contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public • Supervise, direct, and motivate community staff; provide direct resident care as needed and fill staffing gaps • Maintain resident satisfaction and retention; proactively solve problems and administer the annual resident satisfaction survey • Execute the renewal program for existing residents • Execute annual operating and capital budgets with regional operations; manage variances, occupancy goals, revenue enhancement, and expense reduction • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees according to company policies • Oversee preventative maintenance systems, property inspections, buildings, grounds, and property standards • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in compliance with company, federal, state, and local requirements • Foster staff creativity and serve as a member of Resident Counsel • Develop and maintain a positive local community image and represent the community to governmental, professional, civic, and community organizations • Use approved sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy • Assist with service plan reviews involving resident care teams and families • Oversee resident admissions, healthcare management, and resident documentation for policy and regulatory compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required • Minimum of two to four years related leadership experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must have a valid administrator license in states where required • Must have a valid driver license and access to a private vehicle for business use • Knowledge of the organization, industry, and a functional discipline • Extensive understanding of technical areas gained through experience • Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred • Effective written and oral communications skills • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks • Ability to delegate assignments appropriately • Good judgment, strong problem solving and decision making skills • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or nights as needed • Ability to be on-call as needed • Willingness to travel occasionally
