📋 Description

• Lead the direction, completion, and outcome of assigned building assessment projects and related services in accordance with ASTM standards and/or client-specific scopes of work • Communicate project status, issues, and report delivery updates across the leadership team • Conduct building assessments, including Property Condition Assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Facility Condition Assessments, environmental sampling, seismic reports, structural surveys, roofing surveys, energy audits, accessibility assessments, equipment evaluations, document reviews, and construction monitoring • Perform physical surveys of building equipment and systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, and pavement • Identify significant physical deficiencies and estimate costs to remedy or replace them and replacement reserve expenditures • Interview owners, tenants, service providers, local government agencies, and other knowledgeable individuals • Provide photographic documentation of assessment sites • Prepare accurate written reports using field findings, notes, photographs, interviews, and client-specific requirements • Modify scope and technical writing based on project requirements, property, geographic location, and site conditions • Develop project plans and assessments using professional and technical judgment • Review property records, assessment reports, historical and regulatory records, repair and improvement costs, maintenance reports, safety reports, warranties, and construction documents • Act as technical lead for specialized projects and protocols • Meet productivity and report-quality objectives • Deliver timely customer service and proactive solutions to client needs • Communicate with Building, Zoning, and/or Fire Departments regarding property violations and required corrective actions • Travel to client/project sites across the U.S. approximately 90% of the time, including stays of up to two continuous weeks, overnight stays, and weekend travel • Follow company policies, standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality standards, safety requirements, and confidentiality obligations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; individuals without a degree may be considered with significant related experience, typically five or more years, and equivalent knowledge • Minimum of three years of related experience • Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record) • Knowledge of buildings, construction, technical standards, construction materials and methods, environmental concerns, cost estimating, and industry standards • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, project management software, Quire, AssetCalc, Microsoft Suite, business-specific software, and project-specific applications • Ability to operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection • Report writing, business correspondence, and standard operating procedure writing skills • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work independently and in a team environment • Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job • Ability to successfully work from a remote location • Ability to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train to client/project sites across the U.S.
