📋 Description

• Coordinate and administer day-to-day activities of HWI’s worldwide health and welfare programs • Facilitate employee engagement and provide employee and retiree customer service regarding benefit questions, life events, and benefit enrollments • Liaise with third-party employee benefit administrators, insurers, record keepers, consultants, and vendors • Ensure health and welfare programs comply with applicable laws and regulations • Complete necessary filings, including SPDs, Plan Documents, and annual 5500 reports • Facilitate open enrollment and re-enrollment across benefit lines • Assist with strategic development, implementation, administration, and employee communications for health and welfare programs • Benchmark best practices, research industry and employment trends, track legislation, and estimate impacts • Develop and maintain employee communication tools explaining the value and operation of benefit plans • Ensure effective financial tracking and reporting by consultants; analyze variances and initiate corrective action • Provide management with information for decisions regarding worldwide benefit programs • Develop reports and maintain performance metrics for continuous process improvement • Implement and standardize benefits process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field • Requires seven (7) to ten (10) years progressive experience in corporate employee benefits administration • Demonstrated health and welfare benefit and technical knowledge • Defined contribution and defined benefit knowledge a plus • Knowledge, understanding and application of U.S. and Canadian benefit laws, ERISA, FMLA, ACA, etc. required • International benefit experience preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation planning and delivery • Team building and problem-solving skills • Strong desire to be held accountable for results • High energy and results oriented to achieve departmental goals • Strong interpersonal skills • Demonstrated financial knowledge to prepare and present appropriate reports to management • Comprehensive understanding of health and welfare benefits plan development, implementation, administration, and related regulatory compliance requirements • Exceptional organizational, negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • PeopleSoft experience a plus • Requires accurate close and distance vision and ability to focus • Requires lifting up to 25 pounds less than 1/3 of the time
