📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries for monthly close with accurate account, subsidiary, and period coding • Prepare documented balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations across multiple accounts • Prepare recurring accruals, prepaid amortization, and fixed asset/depreciation schedules • Research and clear close exceptions and prepare intercompany entries • Process and review vendor invoices through the automated AP workflow • Maintain vendor master records and verify W-9 and banking documentation • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, short-pays, and aged items • Prepare AP aging reports and recommend payment runs • Respond to vendor inquiries and process/audit employee expense reports • Coordinate accurate customer invoicing and reconcile billed amounts to the general ledger • Maintain AR aging, apply cash receipts, and support collections follow-up • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, workpapers, and supporting documentation • Compile data extracts and account-level schedules for reporting packages • Support sales, use, and indirect tax filings • Work in NetSuite and the AP automation platform, flagging data and workflow issues • Document and improve recurring processes and contribute to close-automation initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 1–3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting practice, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets • Hands-on experience with an accounting system such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or comparable • Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables • Demonstrable attention to detail • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple close-calendar deadlines • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with internal teams, vendors, and auditors • Comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment and judgment to ask rather than assume • Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis • CPA licensed or actively sitting for the exam is preferred • Experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure, construction, growth-stage, or project-based businesses is preferred • Multi-entity or multi-currency experience, including intercompany transactions, is preferred • Exposure to AP automation or reconciliation tools is preferred • NetSuite OneWorld experience is preferred
