📋 Description

• Own category strategy for assigned IT spend areas, including SaaS and software, cloud infrastructure, end-user computing and endpoint services, and telecom and network • Own the renewal pipeline, track expirations, assign ownership, build engagement strategies, and execute early to preserve leverage • Maintain market and vendor intelligence and use it to shape category plans • Own the vendor framework, including preferred and strategic vendor designations, consolidation targets, and portfolio standards • Establish spend baselines, savings targets, leverage, alternatives, and business cases before vendor engagement • Lead competitive sourcing events end to end through requirements, RFx, evaluation, shortlisting, and award • Negotiate pricing, terms, escalators, termination and exit rights, SLAs, service credits, and liability using a total-cost-of-ownership approach • Build spend and TCO analyses, normalize quotes, reconcile usage and license counts, and model multi-year commitments • Validate and record final savings and cost avoidance against established baselines • Drive contract execution with Legal, including commercial redlines and Information Security and data privacy reviews • Coordinate third-party risk intake and maintain sourcing intake and pipeline documentation • Align stakeholders on requirements, timing, tradeoffs, and sourcing strategy • Advise technology leaders and business units on vendor options, commercial structures, timing, and tradeoffs • Document lessons learned, vendor insights, benchmarks, and negotiation approaches for the sourcing knowledge base

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, vendor management, or a related commercial role • Experience with IT, software, SaaS, or technology services categories • Proven ability to lead vendor negotiations directly and develop leverage-based negotiation strategies • Ability to challenge supplier assumptions and secure measurable improvements across pricing, terms, risk, and flexibility • Working knowledge of commercial contract terms and comfort partnering with Legal on redlines, negotiation positions, and contract risk tradeoffs • Strong spend and data analysis skills, including building and defending TCO and multi-year commitment models • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Finance, Legal, Information Security, IT, and business stakeholders • Organized, systems-minded work habits and comfort using procurement intake, sourcing, or work management platforms such as Zip, Coupa, Ariba, or Jira • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including making data-dense recommendations easy to act on • Reliable cable or fiber-optic broadband internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for remote work • Active participation in video-based interviews and ongoing virtual meetings with camera on • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field is listed as a preferred qualification, not a requirement
