📋 Description

• Lead development of project goals through Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. • Evaluate client needs and document design objectives and spatial requirements, focusing on furniture planning and design. • Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout interior design work. • Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with architecture, engineering, and consultants. • Develop interior-space designs focused on furniture, including floor plans, pattern designs, elevations, details, and room finishes. • Independently evaluate and select materials and consult with vendors. • Produce drawings within project time, budget, and quality constraints. • Assist with project planning and work plans/budgeting. • Assist in and lead client meetings. • Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff. • Assist with or lead lessons-learned sessions. • Maintain CannonDesign drawing standards. • Participate in construction administration, including site visits, submittal and shop-drawing reviews, and punch lists. • Participate in and promote design leadership within the practice. • Assist in marketing campaigns as requested. • Perform other duties as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required. • Minimum of 6 years of related experience required. • Relevant furniture planning, specification, and procurement experience strongly preferred. • Strong furniture/interior design portfolio demonstrating planning, specification, and implementation experience preferred. • Current NCIDQ certification preferred. • Must be design focused. • Must be an independent thinker. • Must be analytical. • Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge. • Strong creative design portfolio essential. • Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects. • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required. • Travel as required. • Resume and portfolio required when applying. • Must complete mandatory training and adhere to internal policies and Code of Conduct as a condition of employment.
