📋 Description

• Identify, map, measure, analyze, and improve clinical and business processes and information requirements for assigned Epic applications. • Perform current and future workflow analysis and map critical business processes using business process reengineering techniques, industry standards, and best practices. • Prepare business requirements documentation using case diagrams, data flow diagrams, data models, and object models. • Evaluate proposed solutions against business and clinical needs. • Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications and review them with users. • Prioritize requirements based on business needs and discuss technological impact. • Configure assigned systems to meet business requirements. • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Conduct unit, integration, system, and end-user acceptance testing; track problem reports and document outcomes. • Provide client and support training by developing training materials and training trainers and end users. • Monitor system functionality and clinical and business processes, instituting changes as needed. • Explain assigned applications and related systems to users and assist users with application functionality and process flow. • Develop and maintain product documentation, workflows, requirements, specifications, installation instructions, test procedures, user manuals, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. • Complete change and quality control documentation according to department standards. • Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users, including potential delays or downtime. • Manage multiple user requests and balance priorities. • Schedule and manage application version upgrades. • Serve as a resource for assigned applications and assist with support and troubleshooting. • Respond to user calls as necessary.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be certified Clindoc and/or Grand Central. • Must be willing to get certified in Epic Case Management. • Must obtain Epic certification within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for required Epic certifications. • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or a related field. • Typically requires 3 years in an IT or clinical environment. • Experience with business process mapping and analysis. • Experience defining business and user requirements. • Experience with acceptance testing and documentation. • Experience using applications, operating systems, and databases, including basic hardware, platform, connectivity, and interface design. • Experience in Epic and other healthcare applications. • Project management experience and ability to use project management software. • Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and complete assignments timely. • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work closely with healthcare application users, vendors, and technical professionals. • Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications. • Understanding of change management practices and procedures. • Understanding of technical components and how they relate to applications. • Ability to perform work-related travel. • Ability to operate equipment necessary for the job. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
