• Support the Living Cancer program, including GYN, surgical, GI, hematology, infusion, and oncology services • Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one specialty, such as oncology, gynecology, surgical coding, or infusion coding • Assign CPT and ICD codes for moderate- to high-complexity cases • Read provider documentation, infusion records, and operative reports to assign CPT codes • Perform ICD and CPT coding for professional services and verify charge information • Append modifiers and rank CPT codes when multiple codes apply • Assign Evaluation and Management (E/M) codes • Reconcile charges to ensure all charges are captured • Enter charges into applicable billing systems manually or automatically • Research and analyze coding and payer-specific issues • Process charges promptly and communicate with team members and practice management • Communicate with providers about moderately to highly complex coding issues, including explaining coding rationales and providing education
• Coding certification issued by AAPC or AHIMA required • Minimum of 2 years of coding experience required • CPC or equivalent coding credential required • Must maintain coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) • Extensive knowledge of coding, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology • Extensive knowledge of payer-specific coding, bundling, and modifier rules • High School Diploma or GED required • Ability to work Monday–Friday, first shift, 40 hours per week • Remote work may be approved only in registered states listed in the posting
