📋 Description

• Use the computerized central scheduling system to provide timely, courteous, and proficient scheduling • Prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure proper test sequencing for multiple tests • Enter patient registration data, including demographic, insurance, and contact information • Register patients within policy-defined time frames • Complete Medicare questionnaires for Medicare patients • Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, third-party payer requirements, insurance plans, pre-authorization/referral requirements, and accepted insurance plans • Provide accurate exam preparation and arrival instructions • Obtain and transcribe orders for scheduled outpatient exams • Participate in department staff meetings and continuing education • Attend mandatory in-services and complete required safety competencies • Participate in group projects to solve department issues • Answer or appropriately refer patient, visitor, and employee questions • Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA and compliance policies • Inform customers of insurance requirements and pre-payment obligations • Handle financial transactions

🎯 Requirements

• High School Graduate • Typically requires 1 year of experience in health care, insurance industry, call center, or customer service setting • Ability to problem solve in a high-profile, high-stress area • Ability to work independently, set and meet deadlines, and prioritize work • Ability to identify and understand issues and problems • Ability to examine data and draw logical conclusions • General computer knowledge • Must be able to comply with remote work standards • Must be able to sit the majority of the workday • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job • No licensure, registration, or certification required
