📋 Description

• Schedule patient appointments according to established practice protocols • Screen patients for demographic information and update systems as necessary • Verify payment methods, including Medicare, private insurance, and self-pay, and collect data • Verify referrals and authorizations before scheduling appointments • Inform patients about information or payment required at the time of visit • Maintain satisfactory productivity levels • Use assigned client systems and follow client scheduling protocols • Answer general patient questions by telephone • Adhere to HIPAA, RSi policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required • 1+ years of medical scheduling experience preferred • Basic medical terminology • Quality verbal and written communication skills • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information • Strong work ethic • Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods • Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 pounds • Must complete an initial skills assessment during the hiring process
