📋 Description
• Provides accurate and timely assignment of appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes on medical records • Reviews the medical record and charges to identify diagnoses and procedures • Assigns ICD-10-CM codes and CPT-4 codes to outpatient types • Abstracts diagnostic and procedural codes into the network system • Monitors assigned work queues and physician notes
🎯 Requirements
• 3 years of experience in hospital and/or physician practice outpatient coding • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification
