📋 Description

• Provide management and end-user support for PACS and other clinical system applications used by Imaging Services • Operate PACS equipment, including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, pre-fetching, and image quality assurance • Ensure proper DICOM digital image transfer into PACS and handle RIS validation and exceptions • Perform database changes, additions, corrections, and testing for business needs and project initiatives • Analyze and develop solutions to users’ clinical systems problems with IS staff • Recognize, evaluate, and resolve PACS and clinical systems problems • Identify tasks, assign responsibility, establish completion dates, and communicate progress • Recommend equipment, software, and workflow solutions for current and future PACS needs • Develop education materials and provide initial and ongoing end-user training • Investigate operational problems and prepare proposals with radiologists, managers, supervisors, and technologists • Develop operating standards, policies, procedures, and training programs with Imaging, IT, and IS teams • Analyze support data and recommend procedural and educational changes • Design future QA/QC needs and efficient workflow processes integrated into operations

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science or related field • Two-year radiology information systems experience preferred • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted • Experience with PACS equipment and image workflow • Knowledge of DICOM digital image data transfer • Knowledge of RIS validation and exceptions handling • Ability to perform database changes, additions, corrections, and testing • Ability to analyze and resolve PACS and clinical systems problems • Ability to develop training materials and communicate work plans • Ability to work with Imaging, IS, IT, radiologists, managers, supervisors, and technologists • Compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and mandatory education requirements
