📋 Description

• Administer, patch, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments within an AWS-hosted Federal cloud infrastructure • Configure, manage, and optimize Microsoft IIS web servers, including application pools, bindings, SSL/TLS certificates, and site-level configurations • Apply security hardening measures aligned with DISA STIGs, NIST SP 800-53 controls, and agency-specific security policies • Monitor Windows Server and IIS health, performance, and availability using DataDog; triage and resolve incidents according to SLA tiers • Coordinate with DevOps engineering on Windows infrastructure activities, CI/CD pipeline integration, IaC support, and automated deployment workflows • Support FISMA compliance, vulnerability management, IAVA remediation, security documentation, and audit artifacts • Respond to critical infrastructure incidents within established SLA response windows, including 12-hour acknowledgment for Critical/High-tier issues; participate in on-call rotation as needed • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and system documentation • Coordinate planned maintenance windows and communicate impacts and downtime schedules to program leadership and Government stakeholders • Support onboarding and environment preparation for Day 1 operational readiness • Support a federal cloud hosting and enterprise architecture program modernizing legacy applications for the Department of the Interior and subordinate bureaus

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years professional experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years professional experience, or an Associate's degree and 12 years professional experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and 14 years professional experience • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016, 2019+) • 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft IIS web servers, including application pool management, site configuration, SSL/TLS administration, and performance tuning • Experience applying security configurations and STIGs to Windows Server environments in Federal or regulated environments • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and FISMA compliance requirements • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as DataDog, SolarWinds, Splunk, or equivalent • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services relevant to Windows workloads, including EC2, Systems Manager, S3, and CloudWatch • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator strongly preferred • Experience in Federal civilian agency IT environments preferred • Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation preferred • Experience integrating Windows Server patching and compliance into CI/CD pipelines preferred • Knowledge of AWS Managed Services and hybrid cloud architectures preferred • Exposure to Agile project management environments, Jira, and sprint-based workflows preferred • AWS Certified Security Specialty, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent security certification preferred • Prior experience supporting or contributing to ATO package development or C&A activities preferred • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements preferred
