• Conduct and implement complex, comprehensive, and specialized nutritional assessments • Direct the nutritional assessment process with the interdisciplinary team • Collaborate with patients/clients to facilitate active participation and establish mutual nutrition-related goals • Collaborate with patients, families/caregivers, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, food services, and department leadership in care provision • Serve as a consultant and departmental and organizational resource • Act independently as a preceptor and evaluator for student RD/RDN/DTR training programs • Mentor and support new RD/RDN/DTRs and less experienced clinicians • Lead and design quality assessment and performance improvement projects • Regularly report project metrics to appropriate leadership • Lead the clinical team and strengthen the Clinical Nutrition Program
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a clinical dietitian/registered dietitian in an acute care setting or environment consistent with job responsibilities • Organizational ability to coordinate multiple projects within established timeframes • Problem analysis and resolution skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Patient-oriented approach • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition required • Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration required
