📋 Description

• Provide outpatient billing and collections support under general supervision • Review and submit claims to third-party payors • Perform account follow-up activities • Update account information • Research, analyze, and resolve complex cases and problem accounts with minimal assistance • Interpret regulatory requirements, payor contracts, and CSHS billing and collections policies • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert to others • Act in the absence of the lead and/or supervisor • Cross-train in other revenue cycle functions and provide backup coverage

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • College level courses in finance, business or health insurance preferred • Minimum of 5 years of revenue cycle experience, including hospital/professional billing and/or collections experience • Minimum of 2 years of coding experience • CPC highly preferred • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with conflicting demands • Decision-making, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills • Ability to interact effectively with directors, managers, patients, internal staff, and outside agency representatives • Detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to adjust to changing workflows • Expert knowledge of regulatory and CSHS policies and procedures governing billing and collections • Ability to compose letters, policy statements, procedure manuals, and reports independently • Ability to organize complex statistical reports, charts, and exhibits into complete documents • Ability to work independently with little supervision and prioritize and organize work • Approved remote work states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas
