📋 Description

• Provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy • Deliver compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy • Assess patients’ physical condition and nursing needs using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and specific competencies • Develop and plan patient care collaboratively with patients and the interprofessional team • Demonstrate clinical expertise and perform professional RN functions appropriate to patients’ age, development, and culture • Improve patients’ care experience, streamline care processes, lower costs, and promote quality • Contribute to mentoring, engagement, and development of expert clinicians • Consult and maintain positive relationships with physicians and interprofessional team members to solve problems and improve care • Proactively manage risk and perform skillfully in life-threatening emergencies • Communicate frequently by phone with patients and staff; calls are recorded and monitored for quality assurance, training, and compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) • Ability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for patient care procedures • Ability to comply with department-specific competencies • Ability to communicate frequently by phone with patients and staff • Ability to work variable Monday–Friday schedules, with weekend and holiday rotation • Ability to transport, transfer, and position patients and/or equipment • Ability to work around blood-borne pathogens, sharp objects, communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agents, and occasional aggressive or combative patients
