📋 Description

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise data platform initiatives • Set architectural direction and own technical quality from design through production • Define engineering standards, data modeling practices, and platform governance frameworks • Serve as the primary technical authority for data platform design decisions • Advise IT leadership and data architects • Drive data platform modernization and cloud adoption efforts • Develop strategic recommendations for senior leadership • Own vendor and tool relationships for core data engineering platforms • Manage roadmap alignment and escalations • Identify data architecture gaps, technical debt, and improvement opportunities • Develop actionable recommendations • Mentor senior data engineers and build technical capability across the data engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• Recognized subject-matter expert operating with minimal supervision • Primary point of accountability for an area of IT data engineering work • Ability to proactively address undefined problems and make recommendations influencing functional strategy • Ability to synthesize input across multiple stakeholder groups • Expertise in data engineering architecture and standards • Experience with enterprise data platforms, data modeling, platform governance, data platform modernization, and cloud adoption • Experience managing vendor and tool relationships for core data engineering platforms • Ability to identify data architecture gaps, technical debt, and improvement opportunities • Ability to mentor senior data engineers and build technical capability across the team
