📋 Description

• Own Google Cloud data infrastructure as code using Terraform • Manage BigQuery datasets, Datastream, Cloud Run functions and jobs, service accounts, and IAM • Build and run CI/CD for data workloads • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for data freshness and failures • Keep staging and production data environments consistent and reproducible • Apply PHI classification, column-level policy tags, masked views, least-privilege IAM, and secure defaults • Run automated checks for untagged PHI columns, permission drift, and publicly reachable services • Partner with Infrastructure and Compliance teams on access reviews, audits, and migration runbooks • Provide safe, self-serve environments for data science and analysis • Help move data team work, including diabetes outcomes reporting, into reliable scheduled production jobs • Remove infrastructure bottlenecks for the Data team • Document the platform with runbooks, definitions, and lineage • Own the data platform and triage the Data team's infrastructure backlog • Enable analysts and data scientists to ship scheduled production work independently

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise in Google Cloud for data infrastructure • Production experience running BigQuery, IAM, service accounts, and serverless compute such as Cloud Run • Experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions to deploy data infrastructure • Experience owning a production data platform end to end, including ingestion, change data capture, layered warehouse, and monitoring • Production-quality SQL and Python • Experience protecting sensitive data with least-privilege IAM, column-level security or policy tags, and automated drift checks • Experience working closely with data scientists or analysts and removing infrastructure bottlenecks • Commitment to serving low-income populations and advancing health equity • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must confirm whether employer-sponsored visa support is required
