📋 Description

• Lead the data engineering team and oversee development of strategic perspectives regarding IT architecture and business needs • Develop and implement data architecture and engineering strategies leveraging AI • Develop templates, reference architectures, and patterns for modern data engineering pipelines connecting on-premises and cloud data sources • Partner with Architecture and Product teams and contribute to data product strategy and data literacy • Monitor AI trends and apply relevant innovations to improve team efficiency, productivity, and architectural relevance • Manage internal stakeholders and speak with clients on behalf of the organization as needed • Evaluate staff performance and support professional development through goal-setting, coaching, assessment, and mentoring • Make IT decisions for the area of responsibility and optimize service costs using internal and external resources • Ensure information systems and networks comply with HIPAA, internal standards, accrediting agency standards, regulatory requirements, and legal requirements • Develop, implement, test, and revise disaster, emergency mode operation, backup, physical security, personnel security, and access plans • Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain talent while building a high-performing team and culture • Complete annual performance review or goal-setting responsibilities and assigned special projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • 7+ years of total data engineering, IT, or project management experience, including at least 2 years of management experience • 2+ years’ experience leading small to mid-size projects using project management methodologies and artifacts • 4+ years’ experience with data sets, Hadoop, Spark, and/or data integration/ETL tools such as Databricks, AWS tech stack, and Snowflake • 2+ years of experience working on AI engineering concepts and tools such as RAG, Prompt Engineering, LangChain, and LangGraph • Familiarity with MLOps and LLMOps capabilities and tools such as DataRobot • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development and database management • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to provide a dedicated, secure work area • Ability to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation • Preferred: Experience with healthcare data, preferably in a data operations role • Preferred: Experience working in an Agile environment
