📋 Description

• Support Carle Health System's externally funded programs through post-award sponsored project administration • Collaborate with departments to establish and financially manage grants in Workday's Grants module • Work with Research and Accounting to develop and implement OMB-compliant accounting and procurement guidance and processes • Design and maintain reports to monitor and analyze grant-account financial data • Ensure financial activity and transactions comply with internal and external policies, project budgets, and agreements • Verify expenditures are allowable and appropriate, reconcile grant worktag expenditures, and initiate transfers when necessary • Monitor budgets, account balances, expenditures, personnel effort, and compensation on sponsored projects • Prepare financial reports and analyses for program directors • Alert program directors when budget revisions are needed and advise on hiring and major spending decisions • Prepare invoices and manage receivables for subaward agreements • Assist with internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines • Complete sponsored project close-out reviews and coordinate timely account closure with Accounting • Represent Carle Health during internal and external audits • Track and monitor costs of internally funded projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field • Work experience in a related field • Knowledge of OMB 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance • Ability to apply grant- and institution-specific requirements • Ability to exercise professional judgment, independence, discretion, and sound judgment • Ability to understand and apply relevant policies, procedures, and accepted regulatory practices • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Experience with Workday Grants module, or ability to establish and financially manage grants in Workday • Knowledge of accounting and procurement guidance and processes • Ability to monitor grant budgets, account balances, expenditures, personnel effort, and compensation • Ability to prepare financial reports, invoices, receivables, and analyses • Ability to support sponsored project close-out and audit activities
