📋 Description

• Plan and help lead qualitative and quantitative research in operational environments • Conduct contextual inquiry, field studies, interviews, usability testing, surveys, ride-alongs, and diary studies with frontline and expert users • Understand complex business dynamics and clarify ambiguous problems • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations guiding product decisions • Improve existing products and services and inspire innovation priorities • Communicate research findings and implications to internal teams and partners • Design user-centered components and experience patterns aligned with established design systems and accessibility standards • Partner with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and designers to balance user needs, business priorities, and implementation constraints • Contribute to the growth and development of Carrier Digital's Design Research craft

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in design or human-computer interaction (HCI) • 5+ years of experience contributing to and delivering digital products across web and mobile platforms • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA • No visa sponsoring available • Preferred: Life sciences, cold chain, pharmaceutical logistics, or temperature-controlled supply chain experience • Preferred: Experience at an enterprise healthcare, medical device, or health IT company, or in a design consultancy with repeated engagements in pharma, medical device, or supply chain • Preferred: Deep understanding of the full, iterative design process, including research journey mapping, content design, wireframing, prototyping, testing, and high-fidelity execution • Preferred: Working knowledge of modern design, research, and AI tools such as Figma, Claude, and Maze • Preferred: Portfolio displaying work samples, research process, customer insights, and research-generated artifacts • Preferred: Background designing for fulfillment, transportation, logistics visibility, alerts, dashboards, exception management, or other operational workflows • Preferred: Passion for IoT software, hardware, connected devices, and data processing
