📋 Description

• Manage and deliver timely and accurate accounting advisory services • Consult on technical accounting matters and implementation of new accounting standards • Perform account reconciliations and financial statement preparation • Provide on-demand accounting support • Direct activities of junior professionals and perform engagement activities • Participate in discussions with CFOs, Controllers, and Business Owners • Assist with drafting deliverables • Participate in planning, field work, engagement wrap-up, and deliverable composition • Understand client business needs and develop productive relationships with key personnel • Assess information flows across people, processes, and technology • Eliminate manual operations, data validation issues, decentralization, Excel analyses, and other bottlenecks • Leverage automation and digital processes to improve client performance • Advise on accounting system selection and implementation • Align key processes and engage technology partners • Mentor team members and drive growth within the Advisory practice

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP required • 7+ years of experience within a public accounting firm or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services required • Sufficient experience with technical accounting • Understanding of accounting processes and internal controls • Interest in and experience with technical accounting matters • Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments • Proven experience scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements • CPA and/or MBA preferred • Professional service network and interest in sales preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to adapt style and messaging to communicate with professionals at all levels • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment • Superior analytical and diagnostic skills • Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines • Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate work assignments • Ability to travel up to 40% • Eligibility to work in the United States • Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship
