📋 Description

• Provide innovative technical solutions to complex hardware/software problems • Provide design, implementation, technical support services and consulting to Managed Services clients • Deliver Managed Services offerings according to CDW service descriptions and catalog • Follow CDW Managed Services Standard Operating Procedures • Communicate problems and solutions to internal and external customers by phone, email and in person • Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24x7 support to critical systems • Conduct throughput analysis, problem solving and infrastructure planning • Participate in projects to improve and upgrade technology infrastructures • Create and execute test plans • Identify and communicate cross-selling opportunities to sales • Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements and internal projects • Lead design workshops for complex customer designs • Develop proactive plans to avoid problems • Educate customers on solutions throughout the service lifecycle • Complete projects and tasks according to stakeholder commitments • Perform implementation scopes of work including system builds, testing, documentation and training • Handle multiple tasks including pre-sales, troubleshooting, maintenance and emergencies • Communicate unanticipated events to the Engineering Manager • Assist in creating and documenting policies and procedures • Understand and meet production-environment SLAs • Support Service Account Managers, Project Managers and product developers • Contribute to proposals and technical documentation • Assist Professional Services with client consultation and architectural recommendations • Review service requests daily and maintain accurate status information in tracking systems • Test, evaluate and develop new products, offerings and solutions • Train customers and coworkers • Work with Project Managers to update project plans and communicate project status

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent experience • At least five (5) years large-scale, multi-tenant Data Center environment experience including enterprise-class planning, design, implementation and support • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and infrastructure • Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure, including Cisco Hyperflex, Nutanix and/or VMware vSAN • Experience with Cisco UCS infrastructure • At least three (3) years’ experience using scripting tools such as Microsoft PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and/or Cisco UCS PowerTool • Ability to resolve critical issues in a time-sensitive manner while meeting service levels • Ability to establish customer trust and confidence • Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing customer needs while meeting deadlines • Critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills • Ability to perform intermediate root cause analysis • Customer service focus and professionalism • Ability to follow policies and procedures • Strong communication and documentation skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Good time management and ability to meet urgent assignment schedules • Professional-level experience in technologies including VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Dell, HPE, and ITIL is a plus • Knowledge/experience with replication and backup technologies is a plus • ITIL Foundations Certification is a plus • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification is a plus • Basic understanding of routing, switching and firewall infrastructure is a plus
