📋 Description

• Coordinate and assist in managing and participating in pharmacy services, including medication dispensing, quality assurance, and clinical monitoring • Participate in pharmaceutical-service decisions, patient care planning, and quality assessment and improvement activities • Receive physician prescription orders and evaluate dosage, drug choice, interactions, administration route, and stability • Supervise filling, receiving, compounding, and dispensing activities • Maintain complete patient charts, including allergies, medical history, laboratory results, and medications • Ensure required laboratory tests are ordered, results obtained, and findings discussed with nurses and physicians • Provide patient counseling, education, monitoring, and clinical interventions • Assess therapy response and compliance, review drug regimens, and report/manage adverse events • Provide clinical and technical support to physicians, nurses, and patients • Document communications in patient charts • Maintain paperwork required by state and federal agencies and the Joint Commission • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with new procedures, personnel training, and supervision • Participate in performance improvement projects and provide in-service drug-therapy programs • Attend or complete education and training programs and review pharmacy literature • Complete competency and skills assessments • Participate in the on-call schedule • Perform other tasks determined by the Pharmacist-In-Charge

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and 3+ years of mail order, retail, or hospital pharmacy experience, or Pharm D. • Current state Pharmacist license and licenses in other states as required • Must live in TX, MO, MI, FL, or CA • Ability to coordinate pharmacy services and participate in clinical monitoring and quality assurance • Knowledge of prescription evaluation, drug interactions, dosage, administration routes, and stability • Ability to supervise pharmacy filling, compounding, receiving, and dispensing activities • Ability to maintain complete patient charts and assess clinical laboratory results and medication histories • Ability to provide patient counseling, education, monitoring, and clinical interventions • Ability to assess therapy response, compliance, drug regimens, and adverse events • Ability to maintain documentation and regulatory paperwork • Ability to complete competency and skills assessments • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
