📋 Description

• Directly and indirectly manage managers, supervisors and subordinate work groups for regional claim processing units • Oversee multiple states and lines of business at a departmental level • Collaborate with key business partners to identify and resolve process issues • Lead solutions and address issues beyond individual team needs • Manage performance processes for direct reports, including coaching, counseling, feedback, career planning, goal setting and performance assessment • Recruit, select, train and retain highly qualified professionals • Mentor lower-level management for succession planning • Investigate claims-related process improvement initiatives, identify root causes and develop corrective actions • Evaluate alternatives, resolve issues, and implement solutions • Plan, conduct and direct projects and programs • Recommend and implement business process improvements • Lead programs and strategies and coordinate workflow with other business units • Develop collaborative relationships and address problems diplomatically • Provide policy recommendations in areas of expertise • Present issues and solutions and lead them to resolution • Step into the director role when the director is absent • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required • 5+ years experience in operations, claims or financial management, preferably in a managed care setting • 3+ years in a supervisory capacity including hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance required • Experience managing managers, supervisors and subordinate work groups • Ability to investigate claims-related process issues, identify root causes and develop corrective actions • Ability to evaluate alternatives, resolve issues, and implement solutions with minimal supervision • Ability to plan, conduct and direct projects/programs requiring new approaches • Ability to make business process improvement recommendations and develop corrective actions • Ability to lead programs and strategies and coordinate workflow with other business units • Ability to provide policy recommendations in areas of expertise • Must comply with all policies and standards
