📋 Description

• Apply clinical and operational knowledge to ensure effective and compliant processing of specialty medication prescription orders • Process specialty medication prescriptions mailed to patients’ homes and/or provider offices from CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy • Receive inbound calls from patients and providers • Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy • Check for drug interactions and use resources and guidelines to support decision-making • Resolve clinical and escalated issues involving drug interactions, therapy regimens, and medication stability • Interpret assignments and independently determine appropriate courses of action while following guidelines and department procedures • Make decisions with minimal direction and seek guidance when needed • Work independently and within a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines • Work scheduled shifts, including closing shifts, rotating Saturday coverage, and rotating holiday shifts

🎯 Requirements

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (Bachelor of Science or PharmD) • Active pharmacist license from the Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Texas State Board of Pharmacy • Must reside and work full time within Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Texas • 2 or more years of experience as a pharmacist in a high-volume retail, hospital, specialty, or mail order pharmacy practice environment • Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs • Excellent verbal and written skills • Proficient in computers and comfortable troubleshooting technology issues • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote • Must meet work-at-home internet requirements: minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Must work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Must be available for scheduled shifts, rotating Saturday coverage, and rotating holiday shifts • Overtime may be voluntary or mandatory based on business needs
