Central Health is the Travis County Hospital District — a public hospital district and local health authority that coordinates and funds health care services and coverage for residents of Travis County, Texas. 📋 Description

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of patient health information within the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system • Identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies, including duplicate medical records, patient overlays, demographic inconsistencies, and erroneous documentation • Resolve and merge duplicate medical records • Verify and resolve patient overlays • Maintain and manage Epic work queues related to data integrity issues • Add appropriate chart flags or comments to maintain medical record integrity • Collaborate with Patient Access, Registration, Clinical Staff, and other teams to correct errors and prevent future issues • Meet productivity standards • Ensure duties comply with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, CommUnityCare standards, and applicable policies and procedures • Use Epic reporting tools and dashboards to monitor trends, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements • Provide customer service and establish professional relationships throughout the organization • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and current knowledge of confidentiality and privacy laws • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical managers, clinical support staff, providers, business office staff, and other partners • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (higher degree accepted) • 2 years experience in a healthcare setting • High level of critical thinking skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • High level of skill at building relationships and providing excellent customer service • Knowledge of commonly used medical terminology • Ability to utilize a computer for data entry and retrieval • High level of organization and ability to multitask • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to perform operations in system EHRS • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to manage competing objectives in a fast-moving environment to achieve results
