📋 Description

• Get read and write access into fragmented practice EHRs through FHIR APIs, HL7 feeds, VPN/remote access, portal pulls, SFTP drops, or CSV exports • Land EHR data where engineering can clean, normalize, and model it • Coordinate with EHR vendors and practice IT teams to negotiate access and troubleshoot connections • Write and oversee Data Transfer Agreements with external providers • Design and ship clinical notifications, including GDMT prompts, care gaps, ADT-triggered discharge alerts, and transitions-of-care signals • Map raw patient data from disparate EMR formats toward standardized target data models • Apply AI tooling to extract, normalize, and route unstructured clinical data • Support partner and payer data integrations involving eligibility files, claims, attribution data, and return files • Partner with engineering on data cleaning, normalization, modeling, ingestion troubleshooting, and data warehousing • Translate operational needs into reliable data flows across clinical, network, and practice-facing teams • Build monitoring, error handling, and documentation for dependable integrations • Ensure HIPAA and data protection compliance during data transmission and handling • Establish live transitions-of-care read access across 70% of patient coverage within the first 90 days

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare technology, EHR implementation, or interoperability • Track record obtaining live data access across multiple ambulatory EHR systems • Experience with APIs, HL7/FHIR, VPN access, portal pulls, or other nonstandard integration paths • Working knowledge of FHIR, HL7v2, and C-CDA interoperability standards • Experience navigating vendor and practice-IT relationships to secure access • Comfort with both API integrations and pragmatic workaround-based approaches • Fluency with eligibility, claims, attribution, transitions of care, and GDMT concepts • Ability to use SQL, Python, or tools such as Claude for automation • Ability to pass a basic coding assessment • Pragmatic, ownership-minded approach • Working knowledge of HIPAA and data protection requirements for clinical data transmission and third-party data sharing • Located in the Eastern or Central time zone • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
