📋 Description

• Provides Power BI-focused development support to HHS/NIH Department of Informatics. • Provides informatics guidance to organizational leadership on information management practices, workflows, requirements gathering, and analytics. • Assists with the flow of data in Healthcare Analytics using computers and networks. • Develops SQL database queries, SSRS reports, Tableau Reports/Views and Dashboards, and automated emails. • Manages Tableau Server users, groups, schedules, data sources, and data extracts. • Converts or migrates Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI. • Translates business and reporting requirements into Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and supporting SQL logic. • Reconciles and validates Power BI reports against Tableau reports and source data. • Troubleshoots, tests, validates, and resolves issues involving data, SQL, report logic, calculations, and visualizations. • Manages assigned deliverables through completion within established timelines. • Develops, modifies, and troubleshoots complex queries. • Analyzes complex data sources, joins, transformations, and business logic while investigating data issues. • Maintains system documentation and knowledge management. • Works with stakeholders to elicit business requirements, design validation, and user acceptance testing. • Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions. • Interprets and supports users in the use of generated data. • Ensures information is consistent, timely, and accurate. • Monitors quality assurance efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. • Experience working with healthcare or clinical data. • Experience developing and supporting enterprise-level BI and reporting environments. • Experience with Tableau calculations, data models, and dashboard functionality. • Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security (RLS). • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years SQL experience and three (3) years Power BI development experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. • Must comply with the employer’s drug-free workplace policy and the Federal Controlled Substance Act.
