📋 Description

• Provide Power BI-focused development support to HHS/NIH Department of Informatics • Provide informatics guidance to organizational leadership on information management practices, workflows, requirements gathering, and analytics • Assist with healthcare analytics data flow using computers and networks • Develop SQL database queries, SSRS reports, Tableau reports/views and dashboards, and automated emails • Manage Tableau Server users, groups, schedules, data sources, and data extracts • Convert or migrate Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI • Translate business and reporting requirements into Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and supporting SQL logic • Reconcile and validate Power BI reports against Tableau reports and source data • Troubleshoot, test, validate, and resolve issues involving data, SQL, report logic, calculations, and visualizations • Manage assigned deliverables through completion within established timelines • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot complex queries • Analyze complex data sources, joins, transformations, and business logic while investigating data issues • Maintain system documentation and knowledge management • Work with stakeholders to elicit business requirements, design validation, and user acceptance testing • Troubleshoot incidents surrounding supported solutions • Interpret and support users’ use of generated data • Ensure information is consistent, timely, and accurate • Monitor quality assurance efforts • Maintain working relationships with team members and stakeholders • Recommend leading-edge solutions using reporting and tool-specific expertise

🎯 Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property • Experience working with healthcare or clinical data • Experience developing and supporting enterprise-level BI and reporting environments • Experience with Tableau calculations, data models, and dashboard functionality • Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security (RLS) • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years SQL experience and three (3) years Power BI development experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience • Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace and comply with the Federal Controlled Substance Act
