📋 Description

• Engineer, develop, deploy, and maintain the federal client’s SIEM implementation and minor applications, integrations, apps, and interfaces • Implement, optimize, and maintain the Splunk SIEM infrastructure • Deploy products, apps, reports, alerts, and dashboards using SDLC methodologies and business best practices • Increase infrastructure efficiency to connect more enterprise data sources to Splunk Enterprise • Develop change management plans and lead prototyping and testing of new features and solutions • Manage and monitor Linux-based on-premises server infrastructure for configuration and software upgrades • Develop, maintain, and optimize internal and external SIEM components • Oversee the optimization, operation, and health of Splunk components and data-source connections • Provide mentoring to Tier II technicians and lead technical discussions with SIEM engineers • Share knowledge with junior security architects and engineers and recommend training • Introduce industry best practices and innovative ideas for continuous improvement of the Splunk environment • Provide technical consulting, advanced technical design and specifications, and planning process assistance • Troubleshoot complex technical problems and multitask across systems, applications, and priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Public Trust level • Required certification: Certified Splunk Architect • Senior level mastery of SIEM front and back-end operations and configurations • Extensive knowledge of Splunk Enterprise Security and CIM compliance • Extensive knowledge of Splunk Risk Based Alerting (RBA) • Firm understanding of data flows and interconnections between multiple systems within the network environment • Extensive knowledge of system back-end engineering and administration with heavy focus on Linux • Analytical skills for evaluating and optimizing capabilities of securing application solutions • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision and provide accurate and precise documentation • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Extensive experience with SIEM systems and security event correlation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related Math or Science discipline • Minimum six (6) years in IT infrastructure, networking, architecture, administration, or security • Six (6) years of Splunk expertise • At least three (3) years of experience in large-scale enterprise-level solutions • Experience with Splunk premium apps, such as Enterprise Security • Experience architecting, developing, deploying, and configuring customized technical add-ons • PERL/Linux shell scripting/Regex experience highly preferable
