Childhelp is a U. S. -based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. It operates national support services including a child abuse hotline and provides advocacy, education/outreach, and therapeutic or residential programs to support abused and at-risk children and families.

📋 Description

• Provide crisis intervention, education, referrals, resource information, and action plans for callers contacting the Childhelp National Abuse Hotline • Provide counseling by phone using the evidence-informed practice model • Provide digital support services through text and live chat • Understand presenting issues and create brief action plans when appropriate • Enter relevant data accurately and completely into the Hotline database • Report information to appropriate authorities when legally required • Apply current laws, regulations, policies, protocols, ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and reporting requirements • Attend staff meetings and complete required training • Collaborate with co-workers to identify effective approaches and interventions • Participate in assigned work teams and continuous improvement efforts • Engage in Reflective Supervision and perform other related duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required • Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field preferred • Minimum one year of experience working with family violence and/or child abuse • Strong understanding of laws and regulations concerning physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, child abuse, neglect, and legal reporting requirements • Ability to successfully complete Hotline Counselor training and pass all competency assessments • Must successfully complete the counselor assessment and meet all job expectations within the first 90 days of employment • Willingness to engage in Reflective Supervision • Availability for Saturday and Sunday, 7:30am–4:00pm Arizona Time
