CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit organization (founded in 1947) that organizes and facilitates international educational and cultural exchange programs. It provides study abroad programs for college and high school students, gap-year and internship placements, TEFL certification and teaching abroad, professional and research exchange, Work & Travel and BridgeUSA programs, and host-family and employer partnerships. CIEE also administers scholarships and safety/onsite support services to help participants travel and study internationally while advancing intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

📋 Description

• Serve as an admissions expert, advising students on appropriate programs based on their studies and interests • Manage high volumes of emails, texts, and outbound calls • Address questions, solve problems, and direct inquiries to the appropriate CIEE team member • Respond to inbound inquiries within 24 hours • Schedule prompt follow-up with prospective students • Determine prospective students' level of commitment • Execute strategies to inform students about CIEE programs throughout the inquiry and application process • Support partner institutions and develop strategies with Institutional Relations managers • Meet qualitative and quantitative individual and team targets, including completed applications and application conversions • Support on-campus student engagement opportunities • Attend training sessions on product and company updates • Upsell and cross-sell products and services, including internships • Document call information and maintain customer records in the company CRM

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent • 1–2 years' experience in sales and/or customer service oriented field required • Study abroad experience strongly preferred • High emotional quotient (EQ); approachable, friendly, and able to exude empathy and control in all communications • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability • Strong written and oral communication skills • Service-oriented mindset • Strong organizational and excellent time management skills • Ability to multitask • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Demonstrated initiative and openness to feedback and direction • Ability to travel 5–10 trips per year to partner institutions • Must complete background check, reference check, and education and employment verification as conditions of employment
