CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit organization (founded in 1947) that organizes and facilitates international educational and cultural exchange programs. It provides study abroad programs for college and high school students, gap-year and internship placements, TEFL certification and teaching abroad, professional and research exchange, Work & Travel and BridgeUSA programs, and host-family and employer partnerships. CIEE also administers scholarships and safety/onsite support services to help participants travel and study internationally while advancing intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

📋 Description

• Transcribe paper lead sheets into Salesforce CRM • Conduct high-volume outreach to leads via phone, text, and email • Follow a structured sales outreach process to engage interested leads and applicants • Track student readiness for program departures by auditing health forms, passports, and pre-departure materials • Ensure students’ health information is complete and up to date • Convey the value and outcomes of study abroad programs to students and legal guardians • Motivate and coach participants and families through scholarship and application processes • Help families overcome barriers associated with studying abroad in high school • Provide customer service throughout application, acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure processes • Assist with virtual webinars and presentations for students and parents • Ensure participant financial accounts are accurate and paid in full; follow up on discrepancies and missing payments • Use Salesforce reports to manage the applicant pipeline and reach sales goals • Maintain accurate customer communication records in Salesforce • Support in-person school presentations and outreach events for candidates in NYC, Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester, or Southern Connecticut, with occasional travel within the assigned area • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent • Minimum of two years of customer service or sales experience • Ability to navigate challenging conversations • Excellent verbal and written communication • Ability to understand and tailor communication to different audiences • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work through a high daily call volume of 30–60 calls per day • International travel or study abroad experience is a plus • Experience working with diverse high school students is a plus • Additional language skills beyond English are a plus • Must complete background check, reference check, and education and employment verification as conditions of employment
