📋 Description

• Handle complex property, collapse, earth movement, and building/structure loss claims at the highest company-wide technical level • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate property claims • Support the team as technical supervisor during the manager’s absence • Assist with regional audits • Mentor less experienced Claim Representatives • Perform other duties assigned by the Claim Manager or Director • Conduct inspections of sites and properties • Communicate policy-contract interpretations and complex legal concepts • Work with agency partners and policyholders to achieve successful claim resolutions

🎯 Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience • Seven (7) years of claim experience, including three years’ experience in handling complex claim files • Knowledge of current claims laws, specifically civil and tort law and current trends in Property insurance case law and issues • Good working knowledge of mathematics and common accounting practices relating to gross and net income or living-expense calculations • Strong negotiation skills • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts and policy-contract interpretation in writing and orally • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work under pressure of critical deadlines • Ability to perform inspections of sites and properties, including roofs, basements, and attics, potentially using ladders or stairs and kneeling, crawling, and bending • Maintain a valid California Driver License and operate a vehicle • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship • Candidate resides in the Central Valley (Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield territory)
