📋 Description

• Troubleshoot, perform emergency repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance • Modify and upgrade products • Provide startup assistance and installation supervision • Train customers or personnel on current and past S&C products • Use personal hand tools and S&C-supplied specialty tools on de-energized and grounded equipment • Perform work according to OSHA and industry safety practices • Perform field service domestically and internationally during customer-scheduled outages • Coordinate field service with other work occurring on customer sites • Document physical work efforts through verbal and written communication • Report to the Manager-Field Service Center

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience • Minimum 21 years of age • Valid driver’s license • Ability to read mechanical drawings • Excellent mechanical skills • Ability to interpret electrical drawings • Computer skills • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including possible travel outside the assigned region, weekends, and holidays • Electrical substation maintenance and construction experience preferred • Knowledge of and experience with utility electrical protection equipment preferred • 2+ years of previous experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or maintenance of electrical utility equipment, facilities, or products preferred • Ability to perform physical work including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in manufacturing, substations, and other indoor/outdoor facilities • Ability to follow OSHA and industry safety practices, including Lock Out Tag Out and use of personal protective equipment
