📋 Description

• Lead the design and evolution of critical infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying cloud applications • Consolidate disparate legacy tools into a modern, cohesive, scalable developer platform • Drive operational excellence across the organization • Learn other engineering teams’ priorities and practices to design effective systems • Work on cross-functional initiatives within Cloud Engineering and with non-technical stakeholders • Participate in sustainable incident response through an on-call rotation and blameless postmortems • Architect the next generation of Cisco’s developer platform to enable engineers to experiment and build products safely and confidently

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in STEM and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent related work experience • 3+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Python or Ruby for tooling or automation • 3+ years of experience managing infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or Ansible in environments supporting 500+ nodes or complex, high-frequency CI/CD pipelines • Experience with modern Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions • Experience building and supporting tools for a rapidly growing engineering organization of 1,500+ engineers • U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee • May be required to perform work restricted to U.S. citizens on U.S. soil • Preferred: experience in hybrid cloud environments including bare metal, container orchestration, and managed cloud services • Preferred: Docker and Kubernetes containerization experience • Preferred: familiarity with DORA and SPACE DevOps metrics
