• Support a specific, highly available, and secure production environment • Analyze environment reliability and improve operations using networking and coding skills • Debug complex events as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation • Work with BGP, AWS Cloud Networking components, Cisco Nexus switches, and Cisco Firepower appliances • Design and evolve hybrid cloud network architectures • Automate connectivity and build scalable network solutions that abstract functionality from hardware • Develop monitoring capabilities to improve visibility into network performance and reliability • Troubleshoot complex production issues across applications, systems, and networks • Design and manage overlay networks supporting thousands of containers • Drive root-cause analysis and preventative solutions to strengthen overall reliability
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, Master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of related experience • Experience designing, deploying, and operating mid-to-large-scale enterprise or cloud environments • Experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go • Advanced Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience • Strong networking expertise, including BGP, OSPF, IPv6, network security, DMVPN, MACSec, TLS, REST APIs, and cloud/ISP/Telco environments • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Splunk • Experience with automation and project management • Preferred: understanding of agent-based workflows, reusable skills, and MCP integrations • Preferred: ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output for accuracy, security, reliability, and maintainability
