• Function as a technical sales professional owning the Cisco brand with customers and partners • Provide technical solutions addressing customer and partner business needs • Collaborate with the iAE, Mid-Market, and aligned Architecture iAEs on customer plans • Serve as an authority and trusted technical advisor to the account team and customers/partners • Demonstrate understanding of Cisco’s portfolio and specialized architecture perspectives • Increase penetration through cross-selling, up-selling, and displacing competition • Lead the technical relationship with customers and partners • Lead engagements with IT decision-makers and lines of business • Translate customer and partner needs into technical requirements • Spend most selling time landing opportunities and expanding within accounts • Participate in territory strategic planning • Provide sales teams with feedback on customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive tactics • Move deals through the technical sales process • Design and communicate solutions based on technical and business requirements • Manage a virtual support team of sales resources • Leverage tools and resources to support deals • Drive technical closure and increase revenue through closed opportunities converted to deals • Displace competitors, increase market share, and increase net-new customers quarterly
• 3+ years’ B2B selling experience in a similar or adjacent industry • History of career progression and desire for professional development • Collaboration and teamwork skills with the team on the territory • Relationship management skills to build trust and drive results with partners and customers • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in physical sciences, engineering, economics, or mathematics • Strong sales achievement, such as consistent quota achievement or year-over-year growth in the target market • Ability to assist Account Executives in developing new opportunities and growing business • Ability to translate customer business needs into technical requirements • Knowledge of the market, competition, solutions, technologies, and offerings • CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or similar vendor certification preferred • Pre-sales experience preferred • Ability to support the Central US • U.S. work eligibility; no relocation will be provided
