📋 Description

• Act as a finance business partner supporting program managers • Manage the end-of-month closing process, including financial analysis and commentary • Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for external audit • Liaise between the accounting firm and Operations on audit and financial compliance questions • Apply cost accounting principles to analyze program costs, labor, and expenses • Work with program managers and directors to understand P&L impacts and establish key financial measures • Manage program data and conduct financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliations • Prepare budget analyses and comparisons with risk-mitigation recommendations • Model operational expenses with program teams • Liaise between Operations and Corporate to research and answer questions • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting • Apply ASC 606 and revenue recognition knowledge to assess financial drivers and impacts • Facilitate and support mid-month reviews • Drive process improvements and system optimizations • Support management initiatives, maintain confidentiality, and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of applicable experience in accounting or financial operations • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred, and/or equivalent experience • Strong cost accounting background • Hands-on experience preparing financial statements for external audit • Experience managing month-end close processes accurately and efficiently • Experience with government-level financial reporting is a plus • Solid understanding of ASC 606/revenue recognition and its financial impacts • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Based in New England • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support • Must pass pre-employment checks • Must meet applicable DOT qualification requirements and transportation regulations, if applicable
