📋 Description

• Support the design, development, and implementation of software applications advancing Cleveland Clinic technology and patient care initiatives • Perform application design, documentation, coding, unit testing, system testing, and deployment • Collaborate with developers, project managers, analysts, leaders, and clinicians to gather feedback and refine solutions • Iterate with team members around analysis, design, and development of software systems • Develop new software and test development to ensure a quality product • Work with lead developers, lead engineers, and senior developers to meet software development and engineering standards • Recommend cost-effective products and streamlined workflows while supporting team development strategy • Observe operational and clinical workflows and build solutions around observed behaviors • Translate clinical problems into innovative healthcare solutions • Provide technical support to other developers when project support is needed • Interface with internal and external customers • Gather business and application-specific requirements • Ensure requirements are met, maintained within project scope, and documented in the documentation management system • Monitor industry trends and bring new ideas and industry solutions to healthcare applications • Troubleshoot issues and support fixes and updates in a timely manner

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering and two years of experience in software development; OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields and one year of experience • Alternatively, two years of iOS and/or Android development experience for Digital Mobile Department positions • Alternatively, two years of bioinformatics software development experience and/or two years of experience managing and analyzing clinical and bioinformatics research data for Cleveland Clinic Research Institute positions • Alternatively, two years of ServiceNow experience for positions supporting ServiceNow technology • Preferred: experience with hospital or medical systems • Preferred: knowledge and experience with machine learning and AI algorithms • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of software development • Preferred: healthcare experience in pathology/laboratory medicine • Preferred: extensive experience with Python, API integration, FastAPI, JavaScript, CC3, HTML, Angular, and SQL • Preferred: experience in health software, hospital medical systems, Epic Clarity, and lab medicine • ITIL Foundations certification preferred for Information Technology Division caregivers • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • Must comply with the annual influenza prevention program, including vaccination or an approved exemption • Must undergo controlled-substance testing following an offer of employment
