📋 Description

• Own the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for billing from usage metering through invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition • Work alongside product managers and engineering leads for metering and pricing, billing platform, and payments teams • Evolve the metering and pricing foundation into a reusable single metrics pipeline • Evolve prepaid commit capabilities, including customer-specific rate cards, metric-level discounts, contract changes and rollovers, balance visibility, and spend alerts • Own cloud marketplace strategy and integrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including private offers, usage reporting, and subscription linking • Lead billing architecture evaluation, build-versus-buy decisions, proofs of concept, migration plans, and recommendations to senior leadership • Provide Finance, Data, and Sales Ops with trusted systems, including ERP and revenue recognition synchronization, period close, audit controls, and SOX/SOC 2 readiness • Partner with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Support to launch billing for new products and pricing models • Serve as the company subject matter expert on customer billing • Mentor other product managers and help build the team • Report to the Director of Product Management, Billing and Marketplaces

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience • 5+ years owning billing, metering, payments, or commercial platforms for a cloud or usage-based product • Deep expertise in usage-based pricing, prepaid credits, and committed spend contracts • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure marketplaces, including private offers, co-sell, entitlements, metering APIs, and disbursements • Familiarity with payments across card, invoice, marketplace, and partner channels, including dunning, delinquency flows, fraud detection, and payment notifications • Strong understanding of order-to-cash, including invoicing, payment processing, tax, multi-currency, ERP integration, and revenue recognition • Experience with third-party billing and payment platforms such as Stripe or a usage-based billing vendor • Track record of designing and maturing a product area from v1 and leading complex programs across engineering, Finance, and go-to-market teams • Excellent written and verbal communication • Experience at an infrastructure, database, or developer platform company • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and idempotency • SQL proficiency sufficient to analyze billing data • Speaking or published thought leadership on usage-based pricing, billing, or cloud marketplaces
