• Provide strategic and technical assistance to ministries of health on AI governance, workforce capacity, infrastructure, and digital/data systems • Conduct and synthesize research on AI for health trends, tools, and emerging practices • Support the AI Commons for Global Health through stakeholder coordination and operational management • Manage relationships with ministry of health counterparts, technology companies, funders, and global health partners • Develop AI readiness assessment tools, frameworks, and implementation resources • Identify creative solutions to novel challenges in a fast-evolving technical and policy landscape • Support work plans, budgets, and reporting materials for AI-related programs • Prepare presentations, briefs, and materials explaining complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders • Coordinate across CHAI country and global teams for alignment and knowledge-sharing • Represent CHAI at AI for health convenings, working groups, and partner meetings • Contribute to fundraising, including drafting proposals and donor updates • Mentor and support team members as needed • Participate in other duties as assigned • Undertake extensive travel to program countries and partner convenings
• Bachelor's degree required • Master's degree in public health, public policy, data science, computer science, or a related field preferred • 4–8 years of relevant professional experience • Demonstrated interest or experience in AI, digital health, and/or health systems strengthening • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations • Excellent stakeholder management skills with government officials, partners, and funders • Creative problem-solving ability in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments • Strong written and oral communication skills in English • Ability to prepare presentations and technical materials for varied audiences • Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines • Experience working in CHAI program countries and with government stakeholders highly preferred • High comfort leveraging AI workflows for research and resource creation preferred • Additional language skills relevant to CHAI country programs are a plus • Must have work authorization for the applicable country
