📋 Description

• Lead customer engagements by designing and presenting scalable, cloud-native lakehouse architectures and business outcomes • Provide domain expertise throughout the sales cycle, supporting PoCs, solution sizing, and customer adoption • Focus on self-serve BI, open table formats, and AI-ready data analytics • Troubleshoot complex issues involving query performance, concurrent workload management, and data federation • Lead technical escalations and provide guidance on complex technical issues • Drive internal and external technical enablement by exploring analytical engines and developing educational materials • Share best practices around modern data warehousing • Translate customer feedback and region-specific requirements into product and engineering insights • Participate in community activities, speak at events, and contribute to knowledge sharing • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams • Travel to customer sites and Cloudera hubs approximately once per month

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading and implementing mission-critical data warehousing and BI use cases • Proven experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade data lakehouses and big data analytics platforms on cloud-native architectures • Hands-on expertise with SQL engines, open table formats, and big data warehousing technologies, specifically Apache Iceberg, Trino, Apache Hive, and Apache Impala • Strong background architecting production data deployments across hybrid and multi-cloud environments • Expertise in massive-scale BI, ad-hoc analytics, and building an AI-ready data foundation • Demonstrated ability to run Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and MVPs leading to enterprise-grade production deployments • Experience ensuring high-concurrency query performance and cost optimization • Experience designing data-intensive architectures, including data modeling, security, data quality, and governance • Exceptional presentation skills engaging SQL developers, data analysts, and senior executives • Ability to analyze data warehouse workloads and define technical migration or modernization roadmaps • Prior pre-sales or technical consulting experience with big data, data warehousing, and AI platform solutions (bonus) • Experience with Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Teradata (bonus) • Experience with dbt, Star Schema, Data Vault, and optimizing analytical query performance over distributed object storage (bonus) • Experience with open-source software and development practices (bonus) • Familiarity with Cloudera Data Warehouse, Cloudera Machine Learning, and Shared Data Experience (bonus) • Relevant technical certifications such as Snowflake SnowPro Core, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer (bonus) • Working knowledge of Apache Spark, Airflow, and the broader open-source data and AI ecosystem (bonus) • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
