📋 Description

• Represent Cloudflare’s technical go-to-market strategy as a trusted advisor • Own the technical customer relationship from discovery through long-term adoption, renewal, and account expansion • Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept • Tailor Cloudflare Security, Networking, and Developer Platform solutions to public sector procurement and compliance standards • Lead or oversee technical onboarding and implementation • Own customer discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy • Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to accelerate time-to-value and resolve integration bottlenecks • Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and/or account growth • Drive platform adoption, revenue retention, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities • Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews for C-level executives • Automate RFP/security questionnaire responses, sandbox provisioning, and basic telemetry monitoring using AI agents and internal platforms • Report to the Regional Customer Engineering Leader

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience working with or selling into SLED, Local Government, or Municipal agencies • Deep understanding of public sector buying cycles, compliance requirements, and unique government IT constraints • Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering • Broad technical expertise spanning web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture • Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, business value translation, and public sector/enterprise sales cycles • Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills • Ability to bridge technical implementation details with government C-suite/elected official business strategy • Residence in Seattle or the Pacific Northwest region • Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license may be required • Preferred: experience with Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize • Preferred: experience with prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures • Preferred: proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
