📋 Description

• Design, build, and scale highly concurrent backend applications and microservices using Elixir and Phoenix • Architect and implement resilient, distributed systems leveraging the BEAM ecosystem and OTP (GenServer, Supervisors, Tasks) • Design, build, and integrate RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs • Optimize database queries and schema models using Ecto with PostgreSQL and non-relational databases • Enforce code quality, maintainability, and test coverage through unit testing, integration testing, and rigorous code reviews • Partner with product managers, DevOps engineers, and frontend developers in an agile environment • Participate in high-level architectural discussions, system design, and establishing engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in Backend Development, with at least 3+ years of active experience with Elixir • Deep proficiency in the Elixir ecosystem: Phoenix Framework, Ecto, and OTP • Solid understanding of functional programming concepts and design patterns • Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and mapping tools (Ecto) • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL) • Exposure to microservice architectures, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching layers (Redis) • Nice to have: Experience with Erlang • Nice to have: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines • Nice to have: Exposure to Phoenix LiveView • Nice to have: Open-source contributions within the Elixir / BEAM community
