📋 Description

• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of AP Computer Science Principles exams, course curriculum, and professional development content • Lead assessment development, revision, management, and scoring-material creation • Use generative AI appropriately to author and review assessment content • Train and collaborate with subject-matter experts, including college professors and secondary school teachers • Translate between academics and psychometricians • Develop formative assessment materials and teacher resources • Serve as a point of contact for subject-matter-expert committees and communities • Lead development of AP Computer Science Principles assessment forms aligned with curricula and test specifications • Facilitate Test Development Committee meetings and supervise committee contributors and reviewers • Recruit educators for development committees and AP Program opportunities • Facilitate annual AP Reading scoring events and produce related publications • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability • Collaborate on fair, reliable, and valid cut scores • Refine the AP Computer Science Principles Course Framework and learning outcomes • Support development and market testing of new AP Computer Science Principles products • Engage educators to drive teacher satisfaction • Collaborate with AP Professional Learning and Higher Education teams • Raise college and university awareness of AP Computer Science Principles courses and exams • Participate in AP Faculty Colloquia and Visiting and Virtual Fellows Programs

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related discipline required • Knowledge of current trends in Computer Science required • Expertise in Computer Science Principles • At least 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work • Experience with digital assessment and teaching preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Solid technical proficiency • Customer-focused mindset • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain close attention to detail, including proofreading • Demonstrated ability to implement processes and procedures • Experience managing project plans and schedules and maintaining tracking documentation • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively across all levels and engage in constructive feedback • Ability to travel 6–8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States • Passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies • Willingness to experiment with and adopt AI-driven solutions • Comfort learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively • Learner’s mindset and commitment to growth • Drive for impact and excellence • Collaborative and empathetic approach
